Non-resident eligibility
Tide is easiest to open for directors with a UK phone number and address. Non-resident directors can open Tide, but a UK-resident director on file significantly improves approval odds.
Documents required
- Certificate of incorporation from Companies House
- Confirmed UTR (once HMRC has issued it)
- Director passport or national ID
- Proof of address dated within 3 months
- Registered office address in the UK
Application walkthrough
Download the Tide app, sign up with your business email, select 'Limited company', enter the company number, complete identity verification and add funding. Approval typically same-day to 3 business days.
